Blackbox Racing is a start-up for passionate car racers. With their modern 6DOF (degrees of freedom) driving simulators, they want to bring in the realism of the race tracks to everyone from amateur to professional.
To promote their new business, they asked us to produce a kick-off video. Although the simulator is very impressive, we felt that this project is not about a machine showcase. Instead, we chose to promote the feelings while driving it. The focus should be on a visual story of speed, tension, and adrenaline.

Getting ready for the thrill
Filming on the road with a moving car includes a handful of unexpected situations: traffic, road conditions, obstacles, etc. To ensure that everything goes smoothly and safely while still aiming for a high production value, we prepared everything ahead. We did an extensive location scout and developed a very detailed storyboard. We visited and revisited several locations and tested out a few important shots. After lots of blood, sweat, and tears, we are super proud of the result.
